Brais Álvarez Pereira is an Economist with nine years of professional experience, a strong interest in the developing Portuguese-speaking world and a successful publication track record. He is specialized in private sector, financial inclusion, and agricultural development in low-income countries and is currently the Principal Investigator for four large-scale randomized controlled trials in Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau. Brais has worked as a –senior– consultant for UNDP and other UN agencies, including the World Bank, the IMF, the ILO and UNDRR.
